Welfare Is Synonymous To YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Governance
Welfare is synonymous to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government as every section of people is getting the intended benefits from the programmes which he has announced during his Padayatra, included in Manifesto and has gone beyond in a short span of time.
In just five months from Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assuming office, the State has witnessed socio-economic empowerment and the cogs of the developmental wheel started moving despite the spokes of financial indiscipline of the previous TDP government.
From students to old age people, auto drivers to fishermen, all sections are being taken care of with the flow of assistance into their bank accounts directly without any middlemen trying to take their cut as it happened during the previous government.
To cite a contrast between the previous government and the present one, the youth was cheated of jobs and unemployment stipend while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has provided jobs to over 4 lakh within four months of coming to power.
Of the four lakh jobs created though Village Secretariat system, 1.4 lakh jobs are government jobs. The mass recruitment drive could not have been dreamt of by anyone as the government would be tangible at a closer range.
After the hike of old age pension, Rythu Bharosa, YSR Kanti Velugu where school children would undergo eye tests and free surgeries and supply of spectacles would be taken up in the first two phases, Nadu-Nedu programme was taken up for the renovation of 45,000 government schools besides providing basic amenities in phases.
YSR Vahana Mitra has given allowance to owner-driven auto and taxi drivers and it is the turn of fishermen and aquaculture.
Andhra Pradesh having the second-longest coastline has a potential for aquaculture and the fishermen were ignored by the previous government to a large extent.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has taken up the cause of fishermen welfare and has shored up a slew of welfare measures that would be launched on the World Fisheries Day on Nov 21 at Mummidivaram in East Godavari district which no government had so far done.
Besides providing pension during the non-fishing period, the state has also announced subsidy to diesel to the motor and mechanised boats and will give allowance to rafts. The exgratia amount in case of risk was also hiked.
