‘Naidu made a hue and cry when TD MLAs joined TRS’
The Communist Party of India (CPI) has demanded that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu ask the YSR Congress Party MLAs, who crossed over to the TDP, to resign and face the election.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, CPI national secretary K. Narayana said both the Union and State governments were claiming that the people were utmost happy with their governance. More so, they preach morals to others. If it was really true that the people were rallying behind the TDP and BJP, why was not Mr. Naidu going for election?” he asked.
The TDP leader made a hue and cry when his partymen joined the TRS in Telangana and said that it was against democracy and the Constitution. Why was not same analogy applicable here when the YSR Congress Party members joined the TDP, he asked.
Referring to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagawat meeting with the Vice-Chancellors, the CPI leader alleged that it was part of bigger plot to saffronise education system in the country.
CPI state secretary K. Ramakrishna and others were present.
