The Thugs of Hindostan Bollywood Movie Reviews
Thugs of Hindostan is one film movie maniacs are eagerly waiting for. The mega action entertainer, starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles, has astounding buzz surrounding it. Now when it is little over a month away from its theatrical release, fans just can’t contain their excitement.
In a scenario like this, a lot of hopes are attached to Thugs of Hindostan vis-à-vis its performance at the box-office. So that the film rakes in the best possible numbers at the ticket windows, the makers have also planned an extensive Tamil and Telugu release for it. But will the film really work down South? Will the South audience give Thugs of Hindostan the kind of love Hindi audience gave to Baahubali 2? We spoke to film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi to find answers to these questions.
“I don’t know if the Tamil and Telugu versions of Thugs of Hindostan can do the kind of business that Baahubali 2 did in Hindi. Having said that, I certainly think that it will do much better business than what a conventional Hindi film does in those languages. Because the film in question is not just a story, it’s a spectacle,” said Akshaye.
“In today’s times, to draw audiences to the cinemas has become a big task. You really need a big screen spectacle to get people to the theatres. Thugs of Hindostan is certainly that kind of a film. Despite all the criticism that the film may receive, I truly feel that people will come out in massive numbers to watch it this Diwali,” he said further.
