Netizens in A.P. bring down BJP’s Facebook rating
The campaign began on Friday evening when a few entertainment pages gave a call to protest against the party. Since then the number of reviews and one-star ratings went up bringing down the overall rating drastically. The page had an overall rating of more than 4.5 stars (out of 5) on Friday evening and on Saturday evening (7 pm) it came down to 3.4 stars. The trend is alive and evident on the Party’s page.
A whopping number of about 6,000 users wrote messages expressing their concern and anger. While a majority of them rated the page for the first time, others downgraded the five-star rating.
“I thought Narendra Modi is a sincere politician but he plays vote bank politics and cheated AP people with fake promises, made India his laboratory to experiment unnecessary reforms like demonetisation (sic),” wrote a user Venkat Kumar of Anantapur.
Most of the users are regretting supporting the BJP and likened it to the Congress which had bifurcated the State. “The BJP has become another Congress. I love Bharatiya Janata party and its policies but you have betrayed Andhra Pradesh (sic),” lamented another user Kishan Kumar Chatla. Harish Sabnaveesu of Vijayawada wrote, “Even though I like BJP, when it is doing nothing to my State and my people I can’t tolerate.”
Users are also registering the protest on the official Facebook pages of PM Narendra Modi and BJP Andhra Pradesh.
However, the PM’s page has no review section available.
