Visakhapatnam: Ahead of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Simhachalam and a few other places on April 8, Vizag city police have tightened security on the Simhachalam Ghat Road and a few others places. Mr Naidu will receive the recently decommissioned TU142M aircraft at INS Dega and he will be commissioning the solar power plant of Simhachalam Devasthanam at Goshala area of Simhachalam on April 8.
The aircraft TU142M would come from INS Rajali, the air station of Indian Navy in Arakkonam, TN. The district administration has completed the technical evaluation of tenders for converting the aircraft into a museum in Vizag city on the lines of INS Kursura Submarine Museum at the Beach Road. Sources said that chief minister Naidu will arrive at INS Dega at 10.30 am on April 8 to take the TU142M aircraft from officials of Indian Navy. At the same event, Mr Naidu will hand over ex-gratia amount to five families of those who went missing in AN 32 aircraft near Chennai in July 2016.
After commissioning the solar power plant, Mr Naidu will inaugurate the new ghat road to Simhachalam temple and lay foundation stone for Kalyanamandapam at Simhachalam. The city police said that they would impose traffic restrictions in Visakhapatnam in view of the CM’s visit.
