In all, 36,566 of the 1.47 lakh aspirants, who appeared for the test held on May 22, have qualified in the examination that was organised by IIT Guwahati in collaboration with the Joint Admission Board 2016 across various centres throughout the country. Of the students who qualified, 4,570 are girls.

Duggani Jeevithiesh from Vijaywada topped the students who appeared from the OBC category, Chinmay Awale from Navi Mumbai topped in the SC category, Chaitanya Naik in the ST category and Hari Prasad K from Guntur topped the physically disabled category.

Now, the performance of candidates in Advanced will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).
