After an extensive campaign in Rajasthan, the chief minister along with the finance minister, today released the BJP’s Rajasthan poll manifesto.

Days after BJP chief Amit Shah’s whirlwind tour of Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will now visit the state ahead of the Assembly polls on December 7. PM Modi first addressed a meeting in Nizamabad, followed by a rally in Mahabubnagar. He will then address a rally at the Lal Bahadur Shastri stadium in Hyderabad next Monday. Earlier today, the PM had tweeted about his visit and said, “Dear sisters and brothers of Telangana, I am eagerly looking forward to being in your state today”. Last week Congress leader Sonia Gandhi addressed her maiden rally in Telangana.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley releases BJP Rajasthan poll manifesto: 
  • When there is development and a state rises on various accounts, it is not just a mere number or statistic. It is an indicator of how a state is growing with time.
  • GST has been beneficial for states. They get the 50% from SGST, and a further 21% from the CGST. Above this, the funds the states receive for central schemes and projects is separate.
  • Highways, airports, ports and other infrastructure projects have been a priority of our government, the work of which can be seen by all. People across the country and here in Rajasthan have seen the difference in infrastructure development done in the past few years.
  • Today, electricity has reached every village and soon will reach every home.
  • Rural sanitation has been a top priority of the government. Toilets have gone up from 32% to 91%, which is a massive jump.
  • Cooking gas connections have been provided on a large scale, even in the remotest areas, that too at a subsidized rate, so that it is affordable for all.
  • These are significant improvements in the lives of the weaker sections of society

Campaigning for the December 7 Rajasthan Assembly elections intensified on Monday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BSP chief Mayawati addressing a total of 17 public meetings in the state.

To strengthen education of girls, we will provide meals, health checkups, education and laptops. Upon completing school, they will get Rs. 50,000 in their bank account.
For the safety of girls and women, we have passed a very strict law on sexual harassment and rape. Recently, our government at the Centre made rape for minors punishable with capital punishment (hanging).
We have fulfilled 81% of all the promises we had made ahead of the previous elections.
We have also subsidized electricity to help make it affordable for all sections of society.
Farmers have been provided with insurance. This includes a cover for any disability in case of severe illness or accident.
Rajasthan Chief Minister and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley gave a “Report card” of the Rajasthan government in Jaipur. They will soon release BJP’s poll manifesto for Rajashthan.
