34-year old Lokesh is the General Secretary of Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party, and a Stanford Business School graduate.
After taking oath, he touched the feet of his father and Governor ESL Narasimhan to take their blessings.
Lokesh’s induction is part of the first change Chandrababu Naidu has made to his Cabinet since he assumed office in 2014.
He took oath as a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council on March 30, and had dropped hints about being sworn in as a minister in an interview with a Telugu television channel.

Five ministers – Palle Raghunath Reddy, R Kishore Babu, B Gopalakrishna Reddy, P Sujata and K Mirnalini – were dropped.
An unhappy Gopalakrishna Reddy today resigned from the TDP.
